TGSPDCL employee held in bribe case

The ACB recovered tainted amount from the possession of TGSPDCL employee

Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Tuesday arrested one Abdul Rahaman, an artisan working in TGSPDCL in Mangalhat division, when he allegedly demanded and accepted Rs.20,000 as bribe from the complainant for showing official favour for not to reveal the damage which was found in the old meter.

The meter belongs to the complainant. Rahaman demanded a bribe to manage the issue without any penalty. The ACB officials said Rahaman performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly and the tainted amount was recovered from his possession.

Both hand fingers of Rahaman yielded positive in a chemical test. The ACB officials produced Rahaman before the special court for ACB cases at Nampally after which the court remanded them to judicial custody.
