Hyderabad: The Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TGTET-II) was conducted peacefully on Thursday, in two sessions for Paper II. The morning session was held from 9 am to 11.30 am across 49 centres, while the afternoon session took place from 2 pm to 4.30 pm across 52 centres. Over 2.75 lakh candidates applied for the exam.
According to the school education department, the attendance for both sessions was satisfactory. In the morning session, out of 12,815 candidates allotted, 9,259 appeared, recording an attendance rate of 72.25 per cent. In the afternoon session, 9,637 candidates out of 12,734 attended, with a slightly higher attendance rate of 75.68 per cent.
The computer-based examination was conducted without any reported incidents. The director of school education confirmed the successful completion of the exam. The next TGTET exam is scheduled for January 5 where candidates will appear for other papers.
