Three Electrocuted While Hunting for Boar in Nizamabad

Family Killed After Coming Into Contact with High-Voltage Wires Set Up in Farmland

Nizamabad: Three members of a family were electrocuted on Thursday in the agricultural fields of Pegadapally village, on the outskirts of Bodhan mandal. They were identified as Orsu Gangaram, 45, his wife Orsu Balamani, 40, and their son Orsu Kishan, 22, originally from Satapur village in Renjal mandal.

They were hunting for wild boar unaware that a local farmer had set up high-voltage electrical wires across the area. According to reports, Orsu Kishan inadvertently came into contact with the live wires. In a desperate attempt to rescue him, his parents were also exposed to the electric current, resulting in the death of the trio.

Local residents and the owner of the agricultural fields found the bodies and notified the police. Bodhan Rural CI Vijay Babu and SI Machender arrived and transported the bodies to the roadside before shifting them to the Government Hospital in Bodhan for post-mortem examination.

Orsu Gangaram is survived by two wives and five children, while Orsu Balamani is survived by a daughter and a younger son.
