Tie-up Between Officials, People Can Yield Great Results: Telangana Governor

Warangal, Bhongir: Coordination in work between officials of various departments and people can yield great results, said Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, concluding his three-day tour here in Jangaon of erstwhile Warangal district on Thursday.

District collector Rizwan Basha explained to the Governor the geography and development of the district which was carved out of erstwhile Warangal in 2016. He also told him about the famous temples in the district like Palakurthy Somalingashwara Swamy, Chilpur Bugulu Venkateshwara Swamy, Valmidi Ramalaya, Narasimha Swamy and Bammera Pothana.

The collector informed the Governor about the Pembarthi village famous for its handloom crafts.

Warangal MP Kadiam Kavya, MLAs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Kadiam Srihari and Mamidala Yasheswini Reddy, district collector Rizwan Basha and DCP Raja Mahendra Naik welcomed the Governor.

The Governor said he was fortunate to visit the historic district and meet eminent personalities. He said there is one section of people who strive hard for social reformation while the other section designs rules sitting on either side of one platform. If these two sections work together hand-in-hand, wonders can be created, he observed.

Earlier, Governor Varma visited the Jain temple at Kolanupaka of Alair mandal in the district. Pundits and priests welcomed him with purnakumbham.

The Governor visited Someshwaralayam at Kolanupaka and participated in Abhisekha Pooja. Officials explained to him about the history and importance of the temple in Kolanupaka.

Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, government whip Bheerla Ilaiah, district collector Hanumanthu K Zedge and deputy commissioner of police Rajesh Chandra welcomed the Governor at Kolanupaka.
