WARANGAL: Panchayat raj minister Danasari Anasuya 'Seethakka', during an inspection of flood-affected areas in Warangal on Monday, said timely precautionary steps by the district administration saved many lives and property.

"The service of government employees is unforgettable. All the employees should work in coordination with the same spirit to bring the situation to normalcy," she said during her tour, accompanied by district collector Adwait Kumar Singh and superintendent of police Ramnath Sudheer Kekan.

The minister also consoled the ones who lost cattle and property, assuring them help from the state government.

She was told around 100 persons from Sitaram Thanda, who were stuck in the flood water, were saved by rescue teams led by Sirole sub-inspector Nagesh. These rescued persons were shifted to the rehabilitation centre in Dornakal mandal.
