Top priority on development, welfare: Damodar Raja
SANGAREDDY: Health minister C. Damodar Rajanarsimha said the Congress government was giving priority to the implementation of developmental works and welfare schemes. Quoting Nelson Mandela, he said the Congress government was providing liberty to everyone.
Speaking after hoisting the Tricolour at Sangareddy, Rajanarsimha said 60-year-old dream of a separate Telangana was realised during the UPA government. He said the Congress government gave importance to all sections, especially women, youths and farmers. He pointed to the family savings brought about by the free RTC travel for women.
The minister said the state government is preventing the spread of drugs in the state with the anti-narcotics police and increased surveillance of dhabas, highways and junctions.
TG Industrial Infrastructure Corporation chairperson Nirmala Jayaprakash Reddy, district collector Kranthi Valluru, superintendent of police Rupesh, Sangareddy municipal chairperson Vijayalaxmi and others were present.
