TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud Writes Open Letter to KCR
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud has written a strongly worded open letter to former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao highlighting several issues regarding the current political situation in the state. On the occasion of the Congress government completing one year in power, took aim at KCR's decade-long rule accusing him of widespread corruption and failing to deliver on key promises made during the Telangana movement.
In his letter, he criticized KCR for distancing himself from the state’s affairs, claiming that the former CM rarely visited the secretariat and instead spent most of his time at his farmhouse. He pointed out the rampant corruption during the BRS government's tenure and accused KCR and his family of undermining the state’s development.
Goud also refuted allegations made by BRS leaders against the Congress government, calling them false and misleading. He emphasized that despite the BRS government's focus on emotional slogans and promises, Telangana continued to face significant challenges, particularly regarding employment, irrigation, and infrastructure. He pointed to the Congress-led government's success in releasing a job calendar in the first year of its rule, contrasting it with the BRS administration's failure to fill vacancies and complete promised recruitment exams.
Goud accused KCR of breaking promises made during the Telangana movement, particularly regarding job creation and water distribution. He criticized the Kaleshwaram project, which he claimed had been marred by corruption and mismanagement, and expressed concern over the project's sustainability.
The TPCC President further highlighted the alleged misuse of public funds and land grab under the BRS regime, accusing the government of looting the resources of the state, especially in the name of the Dharani land portal. He also questioned the BRS government's failure to complete key irrigation projects and deliver on promises of water and funds to farmers.
