Hyderabad: The Traffic Police Training Institute in Begumpet conducted a road safety awareness session at St Francis Degree College for Women on Monday. Addressing around 100 students, ACP G. Shankar Raju of the institute emphasised the importance of adhering to traffic rules to prevent accidents, highlighting dangers such as speeding, signal jumping, and driving without a licence.
He stressed that wearing helmets properly was essential for both riders and pillion passengers for their own safety. A traffic drill was also conducted, reinforcing safe driving practices, for the students. The event was attended by Principal Dr Uma Joseph and NSS organiser Vijay Kumari.
