TSLSA stands first in 2nd National Lok Adalat; 10,33,051 cases disposed
Hyderabad: Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) stood first in the second National Lok Adalat conducted on June 8, 2024 in the entire country in which a total number of 10,33,051 cases were disposed of in the district courts and at the High Court.
This was stated by TSLSA Member Secretary Ch. Panchakshari while interacting with media persons here on Saturday. An amount of Rs.750 crore was awarded as compensation to the beneficiaries in the settled cases.
A total number of 5,71,486 pre-litigation cases were settled and 4,61,565 pending cases were settled in the National Lok Adalat. The Member Secretary also discussed about the upcoming National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on September 28, 2024 and requested all the litigant public to utilize the facility to settle their civil disputes and also compoundable criminal cases. Settlement of a case in Lok Adalat will put an end to litigation and there will not be any further litigation against such settlement, thereby it saves money and time.
