Tirumala: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has lodged a complaint against a few social media representatives with the police for spreading false news against Tirumala visit and the religious discourse program of renowned scholar Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao.
Though TTD has informed the Tirumala visit details of the famous spiritual scholar Brahmarshi Chaganti Koteswara Rao, the Hyderabad- based social media representatives have repeatedly spread false news about his visit on social media, distorting the facts and propagating falsehoods with malicious intent to damage the reputation of the scholar as well TTD.
As a result, a case has been registered against the representatives in the university police station in Tirupati on January 28 and a complaint has been lodged with the Press Information Bureau in New Delhi and Vijayawada.
Similarly, a complaint was registered with the Youtube Meta management seeking the cancellation of the licenses to those social media companies who have spread malicious propaganda hurting the sentiments of devotees and diluted the morale of the spiritual fans of Chaganti Koteswara Rao all over the world.
As per proceedings issued by TTD dated on December 20, Chaganti Koteswara Rao after his darshan of Srivaru on January 14 was to give pravachanam at Mahati Auditorium on the evening of January evening 16.
In the wake of the stampede incident in Tirupati on January 8, TTD officials requested Chaganti to postpone his discourse scheduled at Mahati on January 16. And they will come with another date for his Pravachanam. He also agreed to this request.
As the renowned scholar holds the cabinet rank and protocol privilege, the TTD has even made arrangements for Srivari darshan on January 14 through biometric and also provided battery vehicles to transport him from Rambagicha rest house to Srivari temple.
However, the scholar has politely rejected the special arrangements made by TTD and had darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy through Vaikuntam queue complex like any other common devotee. While the facts were like this some social media representatives spread false news deliberately.
The TTD has warned that legal action will be taken against the individuals and organizations who are indulged in deliberately spreading falsehoods and trying to defame the reputation of TTD.
