Hyderabad: Two wives killed their 45-year-old husband R Saidulu in their residence at Gurramtanda village in Chivvemla mandal of Suryapet district on Sunday midnight.
Saidulu’s two wives Ramya and Sumalatha murdered him by attacking on his head and testicles with a pestle when he was asleep. Death was instant for him, said Suryapet Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) G Ravi on Monday.
Saidulu first married Ramya in 2004 and when she was pregnant, he lured and violated Ramya’s sister Sumalatha and later married her in 2013. However, Saidulu continued to return home in a drunken condition and harass them.
Ramya’s daughter was studying B.Tech in the suburbs of Hyderabad and she returned home on January 10 as holidays were declared to all educational institutions on account of Sankranti. Around 1.30 am, Saidulu harassed her and upon knowing it, Ramya called Sumalatha and said that their husband continued to harass them ruining their lives.
Unable to bear the harassment, Ramya decided to eliminate him and sought her sister’s concern. Believing that there was no chance of Saidulu mending his ways, Sumalatha gave her nod. The two sisters took pestle and first attacked Saidulu's head and later on testicles killing him on the spot.
The police shifted the body to the Surypet medical hospital for an autopsy.
