Kothagudem:Superintendent of police B. Rohit Raju on Friday said that Maoists killed one Bandi Radha alias Neela, a Dalit, and dumped her body on the outskirts of Chennaram of Cherla mandal in their bid to cover up their mistake.
The SP said the Maoists had forcibly inducted Radha, who was pursuing higher education, into the banned outfit. He alleged that CPI (Maoist) should reveal the reason for killing of the Dalit girl. The brother of the girl alleged that her sister was sexually harassed and humiliated in the name of her caste.
The SP rejected the statement of the Maoists that Radha was picked up as she was a covert operative who was tipping off the police.
