Union minister Bandi gets grand welcome in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: Newly appointed Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar received a grand welcome from BJP leaders and cadres in Karimnagar on Wednesday. A huge roadshow was conducted in honour of the MP returning to his hometown after taking charge as the Central minister.
A large number of BJP activists who gathered at Shanigaram on the outskirts of Karimnagar took out a huge rally with hundreds of vehicles bursting crackers as a greeting to Karimnagar MP who has been elevated as the Union minister.
Throughout the rally, party activists and supporters raised slogans such as ‘Jai Modi’, ‘Jai Jai Bandi Sanjay’, ‘Jai Telangana’ and ‘Bharat Matha Ki Jai’.
BJP state SC Morcha secretary S. Kumar uniquely welcomed Bandi by performing 'Karra Samu' ( Bo Staff martial art) during the rally.
After entering the Karimnagar district, Bandi, who started his political career as a corporator from here, bowed to the soil and thanked the people of his parliamentary constituency for giving him a thumping victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
Later, the Central minister visited his residence and took the blessings of his mother before offering prayers at Sri Mahalakshmi temple.
Dedicating the Union minister post to the BJP activists, his supporters and the people of Karimnagar, Sanjay said that he was appointed as the Union minister of state because of their support in his hard times.
“The BJP cadres faced a lot of problems with illegal arrests in the reign of the previous BRS government. Even though they backed me and participated in the Praja Sangrama Yatra which was held for 155 days covering 1,600 kilometres,” he said.
The union minister post would be utilised properly for the all-round development of the Karimnagar constituency and for the protection of Hindu Dharma, the nation and for uniting the society, he stressed.
He added that he would work hard for the development of the state irrespective of politics as per the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah.
