Sajjanar Lauds Rajendranagar Police Team For Saving Infant’s Life With Timely CPR

The CP commended DCP Srinivas and his team of Police constables, who not only performed their duty but also exemplified humanity by saving a precious life.

Hyderabad: City Commissioner of Police V.C. Sajjanar lauded Rajendranagar DCP S Srinivas and his team of constables for saving the life of a two-and-a-half-year-old boy by administering CPR in time on Saturday. The video of the police team reviving the child went viral on social media, prompting the CP to post the video commending the Police team and also issuing a travel safety precaution.

On the night of the 18th of June, a family from Tollichowki was traveling from Bengaluru to Hyderabad in a car. The vehicle lost control due to the driver dozing off when they reached the Shamshabad-Aranghar route.The vehicle crashed into the median, leading to the airbags being deployed, and those in the car were saved.

At the same time, Rajendranagar DCP Srinivas, who was on night duty, was traveling from the Airport PS toward Aranghar in his escort vehicle. Upon noticing the accident, the staff immediately responded and initiated rescue measures. Due to the severity of the accident, the toddler had stopped breathing and lost consciousness. AR constables Mahesh, Pradeep, Venkatesh, and Pawan promptly administered CPR, helping the boy regain consciousness and start breathing again.

The CP commended DCP Srinivas and the constables, who not only performed their duty but also exemplified humanity by saving a precious life. The CP also issued a safety precaution to avoid driving long distances in case of drowsiness, and stop the vehicle to the side and take rest, as a momentary lapse in attention could prove fatal.
