Venu Swamy’s Comments on Chay and Sobhita: Women’s Panel Assures Action

Hyderabad: Telugu Film Journalist Association (TFJA) and Telugu Film Digital Media Association (TFDMA) on Monday complained to TG Women's Commission against Venu Swamy, a popular personality, for his comments against film celebrities Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala on social media.

Venu had released a video analysing the horoscopes of Akkineni Naga, Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala on their engagement day.

In his video, Swamy said “When a person does not have proper knowledge that past matters should not be discussed in private, they will be separated (sic).”

In the past, Swamy had made similar comments on movie releases and political results, the delegation said.

Demanding that action should be taken against Swamy, the two associations jointly submitted a complaint with the women's panel’s chairperson Neerella Sharada at her office on Monday.

Sharada assured the team of action against Venu Swamy and his viral videos on YouTube channels. She said that he would be called for his explanation.
