Voters Have Lost Trust in Cong. and BRS Leaders: Etala

Participating in an election campaign in Gajwel in support of party candidates for the MLC graduate and teachers constituencies, Rajendar said that the Rao had paid the price for his arrogance.

Hyderabad: BJP Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajendar said that former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao took nine years to show his true colours, while his successor A. Revanth Reddy stands exposed within a year of coming to power. He said that voters have lost trust in Congress and BRS leaders and are hoping that the BJP alone can deliver the goods, especially regarding issues concerning farmers, teachers, women, youth and other sections in the society.

Participating in an election campaign in Gajwel in support of party candidates for the MLC graduate and teachers constituencies, Rajendar said that the Rao had paid the price for his arrogance. When BRS troubled teachers with GO 317, the BJP stood with them. The Congress also made promises to teachers before the Assembly elections, but ditched them after coming to power. In contrast, the Narendra Modi government has allocated `four lakh crore in the latest budget to address the unemployment issue, he said.

Rajendar said that BRS leaders have pushed a number of BC leaders, including him, out of the party. The party never gave a serious thought to the welfare and overall development of backward classes when it was in power, he said.

The BJP MP said that the Modi government was committed to improving job prospects by improving skill sets of unemployed youth as the private sector accounts for 97 per cent of the job market in the country.

Rajendar participated in the election campaign in support of Anji Reddy, who is contesting for the graduates constituency and Malka Komaraiah, who contesting for the teachers MLC seat.
