Waqf Tribunal Extends Deadline for Property Uploads

According to the board, data on 63,939 Waqf properties have been uploaded so far. Of these, 54,550 have been approved, including 33,929 institutions under the first survey.

Hyderabad:The Telangana Waqf Tribunal has extended the time for uploading data of remaining Waqf properties on the UMEED portal up to July 2, in accordance with the rules framed under the Act that came into force on July 3, 2025. The Waqf Board welcomed the extension, calling it a relief for institutions and stakeholders to complete registration and digitisation.

According to the board, data on 63,939 Waqf properties have been uploaded so far. Of these, 54,550 have been approved, including 33,929 institutions under the first survey.

Waqf Board Chairman Azmatullah Husseini said the approved number reflects the progress achieved in digitising and registering waqf assets. He added that the board is committed to using the extended period effectively to complete registration and approval of the remaining institutions.

Officials urged all mutawallis, managing committees and other stakeholders to verify the status of their uploaded properties. In case of rejection, they were advised to rectify remarks pointed out by approving authorities and re‑upload documents within the extended timeline. A copy of the tribunal order has also been forwarded to the Union minority affairs ministry, with a request to reopen the process to enable the Telangana Waqf Board and stakeholders to complete registration.
