Officers from both stations arrived at the scene and rushed the severely injured doctor, who was lying in a pool of blood, to MGM Hospital for treatment.

Warangal: A doctor was brutally attacked by unidentified assailants on Bhattupalli Main Road in Warangal city on Thursday night.

According to locals and police, Dr. Gade Sumanth Reddy, who works at a private clinic in Kazipet, was driving towards Ursu via Bhattupalli Road around 9 PM when the attack occurred. As he reached Ammavari Peta Crossroad, two unidentified persons on a two-wheeler intercepted his car and assaulted him. One of the attackers struck him on the head with an iron rod, causing severe head injuries.
Upon witnessing the incident, locals alerted the Madikonda and Mills Colony police. Officers from both stations arrived at the scene and rushed the severely injured doctor, who was lying in a pool of blood, to MGM Hospital for treatment. Later, he was shifted to a private hospital for better medical care. The police identified the victim as a resident of Hunter Road in Warangal.
Warangal ACP Nandiram Nayak, Kazipet ACP Tirumal, Mills Colony CI Venkataratnam, and Madikonda CI Kishan visited the crime scene and launched an investigation into the motive behind the attack.
However, an argument arose between the Madikonda and Mills Colony police over jurisdiction, causing delays in the investigation due to a lack of coordination between the two stations.
