Wardhannapet MLA seeks books over bouquets for new year

WARANGAL: In a unique gesture for the New Year and to start a new tradition, Congress Wardhannapet MLA K.R. Naga Raju requested his friends, well-wishers, and followers to refrain from bringing bouquets and shawls as gifts when visiting him. Instead, he encouraged them to bring useful items for students, such as books, pens, pencils, compasses, and pads that could benefit students in their education.

Responding positively to his request, during the New Year event, several participants including various public representatives, Congress party leaders, friends, officials from different departments, and well-wishers arrived at the MLA’s residence in Subedari, Hanamkonda, on Wednesday with the requested educational supplies, wishing him well for the year ahead.

In turn, MLA Naga Raju extended his New Year wishes to everyone who came to convey their greetings, marking the beginning of a year focused on practical support for students and educational advancement.

Later, in a heartwarming gesture, the MLA celebrated the New Year with the mentally disabled students of Mallikamba Mano Vikas Kendram by cutting the cake with them and distributing books, pens, and other educational materials, ensuring they had the tools to continue their education in the coming year.

Leela, the founder of Mallikamba Mano Vikasa Kendram, along with the children, conveyed their greetings to MLA Naga Raju and thanked him for his commitment to support the educational growth of the children, especially those who are mentally disabled.
