Karimnagar: Telangana DGP Jitender stressed the importance of citizens' responsibility while responding to the Sandhya Theater stampede incident. He clarified that they have nothing personal against Allu Arjun. The DGP spoke during the inauguration of a Bharosa Kendra in Kothapalli, Karimnagar district.
He stated, "The Sandhya Theater incident is unfortunate. We are not against Allu Arjun. We have taken action against him as per the law. The safety and security of citizens are more important than anything else. He may be a movie hero, but need to understand the ground situation. Such incidents are detrimental to the safety of citizens. Movie promotions should never take precedence over the safety of the people."
He also mentioned that a case has been registered against film actor Mohan Babu in connection with an attack on a journalist, and action will be taken against him as per the law.
The DGP further spoke about the state government's commitment to the safety of women and children, noting, "We are working 24 hours a day for the safety of the people. Bharosa Kendras are being set up due to the initiative of the Telangana government. Officials from other states are visiting these centers. We are planning to set up these centers in every district of the state to enhance the safety of women and children."
He concluded, "Women can approach Bharosa Kendras for any problem. These centers have legal experts and doctors available to address any issues and provide resolutions."
