Allu Arjun insisted on leaving only after watching the film: ACP
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police on Sunday released a video of the Sandhya Theatre stampede during the premiere screening of Pushpa 2 The Rule, which claimed the life of a woman, Revathi while seriously injuring her child—Sri Tej. Addressing the annual press conference, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, CV Anand stated that they had analyzed videos from social media and other sources to create the footage. He urged the public to review the video to understand exactly what transpired at the theatre during the stampede.
Addressing the media, Chikkadapally ACP Ramesh Kumar said that they had informed actor Allu Arjun's manager Santhosh about the death of the woman and the grievous injury to her child in the stampede. They also told him that the situation was out of control and had instructed the actor and his crew to leave the theatre. The cop stated that despite the request, the actor's entourage did not pay heed.
He also stated that Allu Arjun's manager stopped them from approaching the actor. "However, we still managed to go near Allu Arjun and inform him about the woman's death death and the condition of the boy injured in the stampede. But, he insisted on leaving only after watching the movie. After 10 minutes, on the directions of DCP, we got Allu Arjun out of the theatre," the ACP explained.
