Why worry about police, if it is a flimsy case, asks Raghunandan Rao
Hyderabad:BJP Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao on Tuesday wondered why BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao was worried about appearing before the ACB if the Formula E-race case, according to him, was flimsy.
“KTR himself had appreciated the Telangana police as the greatest police force in the country. Why is he worried about appearing before them,” the BJP leader asked.
Ridiculing Rama Rao’s demand to allow his advocate to be present during questioning by the ACB, Raghunandan Rao said that if all accused sought such a facility, what could do the investigation agencies do.
“When the BRS was in power, we have been booked in several cases, but we have never made such strange demands,” he said.
Terming the “double standards” of Rama Rao as the wrong approach, Raghunandan Rao recalled Rama Rao’s remarks that government pleaders were exposed when his lawyer made a strong argument before the court. “How come the court dismissed his petition,” the BJP MP asked.
Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arbind said that Kalwakuntla family was the most timid. “Insecurity is building among them for sins that they have committed. With abundant money in KTR’s possession, he is hiring more advocates to help him to escape the case,” he said.
Arvind said that Rama Rao was not unable to sleep for his wrong doings during their rule. “He must be put behind bars and we have to see him behind the bars, “ he said.
