Karimnagar: A 27-year-old woman ended her life as she was upset that her husband did not pick her phone calls and not remain in contact with the family. The tragic incident took place in Ganneruvaram mandal of Karimnagar district on Monday.
According to the police, the deceased was Patti Mamatha, married to Durga Prasad some 11 years back. The couple has a ten-year-old son.
Two months back, Durga Prasad went to Jharkhand state in search of a job. From then on, he was not responding to her phone calls and not being in contact with any family members.
Upset, Mamatha went to her parents' house and informed her father Jogaiah about the problems she was facing. She told him she was not able to run her family as her husband was not sending any money to her for the past two months.
Mamatha went into depression and later ended her life by hanging herself to the ceiling fan, when there was no one else in the family.
The police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the Karimnagar government main hospital for post mortem. They started an investigation on a complaint from Mamatha’s father Jogaiah.
