Woman among two govt. officials in ACB net for accepting bribe
Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Thursday arrested two government officials including a woman in connection with separate bribe cases booked against them.
At 12.35 pm, Kolangi Jyothi Kshema Bai, a senior draftsman at the office of Assistant Director in Survey and Land Records in Mahabubabad district, was caught by the ACB in the office of Survey and Land Records Inspector when she allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe of Rs.20,000 from the complainant.
The bribe was demanded to issue the tippan record pertaining to land being purchased by the complainant and his relative at Gummuduru village.
In another case, P. Sachin Kumar, a Panchayath Secretary at Atmakur village in Sadashivpet mandal in Sangareddy, was caught at his office, for allegedly demanding bribe. Earlier, while working as Panchayath Secretary at llapur village, he demanded a bribe of Rs. 30,000 and accepted Rs 10,000 as part of the bribe amount, for allotment of house number to the complainant's house.
Following a request from the complainant, Kumar reduced the balance amount to Rs. 15,000 instead of Rs.20,000 for allotting house number, according to ACB officials.
