Hyderabad: The Jeedimetla police registered a case after an unidentified woman, suspected to be in her late 40s, was found murdered on the footpath at Quthbullapur crossroads within the Jeedimetla police limits on Wednesday morning.
According to police, when they arrived at the crime scene, it was clear that the woman was struck on the head with a stone which was lying beside her body, and had blood stains on it.
However, the police are also checking if the woman was sexually assaulted as her clothes looked disturbed.
For now, the police are trying to identify the deceased. No suspects have been found yet, the police said, adding a murder case was registered and further investigation is underway.
