Yadadri railway station to get world-class amenities; Centre allocates Rs.24.5 Cr

Hyderabad: The Yadadri railway station, which is also called as Raigir station is set to be transformed into a world-class station under Amrit Bharat Station scheme with the allocation of Rs.24.5 crore by the Central government. Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Devasthanam at Yadagirigutta is just six kms from Yadadri railway station.

“With an allocation of Rs.24.5 crore, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is enhancing Yadadri station to offer top-quality amenities and upgraded facilities for passengers and devotees alike,” said Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy in a tweet on Tuesday.

For the last few years, devotees are requesting the railways to take necessary steps to halt major trains operating between Vijayawada and Secunderabad at Raigir station. This would enable devotees from two Telugu States to visit the temple in a hassle-free manner.

The devotees are hopeful of accomplishing their request after transformation of the railway station into a world-class station.

The Yadagirigutta temple is located at about 60 km from Hyderabad. The flow of devotees visiting the temple for worship is high since it is situated near the city.

On an average, every day not less than 5,000 to 8,000 devotees visit the temple for offering their vows, performing saswata pujas and kalyanam, laksha tulasi pujas and abhisekam, among other rituals. There will be a heavy congregation of devotees during Saturdays, Sundays and other public holidays.

The Yadagirigutta temple in Nalgonda located on a hillock is a popular Hindu temple of God Sri Narasimha Swamy, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is at a distance of six km from Raigir railway station and 13 kms from Bhongir and 60 kms from Hyderabad.
