Yellamma Cheruvu in Husnabad to get Rs 18 cr facelift: Ponnam
Karimnagar: Backward class welfare minister Ponnam Prabhakar laid the foundation for multiple development projects in Husnabad, Karimnagar district, including the beautification of Yellamma Cheruvu, with ₹18 crore allocated by the state government. The plan includes transforming the lake and surrounding areas into a tourist destination, developing the Mysamma Temple, and building a road from Cheruvu to Pandilla with ₹3 crore funding.
Other projects include the development of Palle Cheruvu and Kotta Cheruvu, and the construction of Bathukamma Ghat at Arepally with ₹17 crore. Steps to improve traffic management and create parking spaces are also planned.
The minister announced that the Rythu Bharosa scheme will increase financial aid from ₹10,000 to ₹12,000 for eligible farmers starting January 26. Landless agricultural labourers will receive ₹12,000 annually under the Indiramma Atmiya Kanuka scheme. Additionally, ration cards will be distributed to eligible families from January 16, addressing a decade-long issue.
