ZP Students Learn Telangana’s History at Ramappa, Laknavaram
Warangal: Sixty-eight students from Zilla Parishad High and Primary Schools in Dharmasagar mandal visited the historic Ramappa Temple and scenic Laknavaram Lake as part of an educational tour on Monday.
Headmaster K.B. Dharma Prakash said the students, many from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, were thrilled to experience Telangana’s rich culture and architectural brilliance. The Ramappa Temple, a Unesco World Heritage Site, offered them a glimpse into the state’s glorious heritage.
The tour aimed to educate students about Telangana’s diverse cultural history. They marvelled at the intricate architecture of the Ramappa Temple and the natural beauty of Laknavaram Lake. Local guides and experts shared insights on the temple’s unique construction techniques, including its use of floating bricks and innovative sand technology.
“This tour provided an enriching experience, helping students appreciate Telangana’s cultural heritage and understand the importance of preserving historic sites like Ramappa Temple,” said the headmaster.
The students were accompanied by teachers Kavitha, Suresh, Rajamma, Ramakrishna, and Sunitha, under the guidance of headmaster Dharma Prakash.
