Vijayawada: In a humble gesture, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, who took charge as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, used an ordinary ball pen (Houser XO) gifted by his ardent fan to sign his first file related to taking charge as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.
The ball pen costing just ₹10 had been gifted to Pawan Kalyan at the Seed Access Road as the actor-turned-politician visited Amaravati capital area after getting elected as an MLA on Tuesday.
After that, the JS chief took out his Special Edition Montblanc fountain pen gifted to him by his sister-in-law from his desk drawer. He used it to put signatures on the files bringing horticulture crops under NREGA works and constructing panchayat buildings in tribal areas.
The Montblanc pen had been gifted to Pawan Kalyan by his sister-in-law and Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha, which costs about ₹1 lakh.
The video of Pawan Kalyan using two pens, one gifted by his fan and the other by his sister-in-law, to sign on the files has gone viral on the social media platforms.
