Kurnool: A fatal road accident occurred at Ungaranigundla on the National Highway at Dhone in Nandyal District late on Friday night. A two-wheeler was struck by an unidentified vehicle, resulting in the death of three people on the spot. Acting on local information, the police rushed to the spot, registered a case, and initiated an investigation. The deceased persons have been identified as Muni, Prabhakar, and Dasaratha.
The police have shifted the dead bodies to the Dhone Government Hospital for post-mortem.
Further, Muni and Prabhakar were residents of Linganenidoddi in Tuggali mandal, while Dasaratha hailed from Chanugondla in Dhone mandal. The police authorities have informed the respective family members about the mishap.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident might have occurred due to a collision between the two-wheeler and a lorry. The police are currently collecting CCTV footage from the accident site and nearby toll gates to gather more evidence and determine the cause of the accident.
