Women's Security Priority of Naidu Government: Anitha

Tirupati: Home minister Vangalapudi Anitha has reiterated NDA government's firm stance on tackling the drug menace and enhancing safety of women in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to media after visiting the Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala on Sunday, she said results in these two areas will be clearly discernible within the first 100 days of governance.

The minister highlighted the swift response of law enforcement agencies, citing the arrest of the accused in the Chirala rape case within 36 hours.

She underlined that the home department will focus on preventing crimes against women and resolving missing women cases. She promised to enhance security and facilities for devotees visiting the Tirumala temple, alleging that pilgrims faced difficulties during the previous YSRC government's tenure.

The minister expressed confidence in the state's future under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chadrababu Naidu, along with Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and minister Nara Lokesh.
