Kolkata Knight Riders emerged as the winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in one-sided final at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Sunrisers posted 113 on board which was chased by the Knight Riders in 11.3 overs. It was KKR's third IPL title.
Kolkata Knight Riders took home Rs 20 crore for winning the IPL. Runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad were awarded a cash prize of Rs 12.5 crore.
Rajasthan Royals will receive Rs 7 crore for finishing third while Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be rewarded Rs 6.5 crore for finishing fourth.
Orange cap and Purple cap
Virat Kohli was the Orange cap holder as he was top run-scorer in the IPL 2024 and he will receive Rs 10 lakh cash prize. Harshal Patel was the purple cap holder for taking the most number of wickets in the tournament.
Emerging Player and Most Valuable Player
SRH's Nitish Kumar Reddy emerged as the Emerging Player of the IPL 2024 and he received Rs 10 lakh and Sunil Narine will be rewarded Rs 10 lakh as he was the Most Valuable Player.
Rajasthan Royals will receive Rs 7 crore for finishing third while Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be rewarded Rs 6.5 crore for finishing fourth.
