Indigo airlines clears air over PV Sindhu's 'rude behaviour in Mumbai' Twitter post
Mumbai: After PV Sindhu tweeted her angst about the behaviour of the member of the Indigo airlines’ ground staff in Mumbai, the airlines said that the shuttler was carrying an oversized baggage which could not fit into overhead bin.
“Ms PV Sindhu boarded flight 6E608 Hyd-Mumbai last carrying oversized baggage which was not fitting into overhead bin,” said the Indigo Airlines before adding, “Ms Sindhu was informed that it will be moved to cargo hold of aircraft. This is the same policy we follow for all customers.”
“The member of the IndiGo ground operations remained calm, After several requests they finally consented to the removal of the bag,” concluded the airlines.
Earlier on Saturday, Sindhu took to Twitter, complaining about the treatment meted out to her.
The Rio Olympics silver-medallist, in a series of tweets, said:
