After raising complaints, Team India to be offered business class flights by BCCI
Rajkot: Team India players will soon be travelling in business class after skipper Virat Kohli brought in issues with the cricket board regarding lack of privacy during flights.
BCCI has taken the complaint seriously and might soon upgrade travelling of players after playing international series at home, according to a report by Times of India.
The report also said that Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami who have tall height have complained of less legroom space.
BCCI's acting president CK Khanna has also asked his colleagues through a letter to speed up the process for the benefit of the Indian cricket team.
Former India captain Kapil Dev recently said that Team India players should be provided their own planes by the board.
He quoted,"Now that BCCI is making good money, it should have its own plane. It will save a lot of time and make life easier for Team India. The board can afford it. They should have done it five years ago.”
The legendary cricketer had also stated that some cricketers need to buy their own plane. "I would also love to see some cricketers buying their own aircrafts in the days to come.
"In the US, top golfers have their own planes. I don't see any reason why our players can't buy it as it will save them a lot of time. I also believe that if BCCI owns planes, the players will get enough rest between matches. I am sure BCCI can also afford the parking charges," he added.
Virat Kohli and co will look to seal the T20 series against Kane Williamson’s New Zealand when the two teams face each other in the second match here on Saturday.
