The Proteas have suffered three consecutive losses on the trot, but, they can’t afford to lose the upcoming match against dark horses WI.

Mumbai: The Proteas have suffered three consecutive losses on the trot, but, they can’t afford to lose the upcoming match against dark horses West Indies as out the remaining six matches they need to win at least five to have any chance of progressing to the semis.

The team is totally demoralised after losing its prime pacer, Dale Steyn, who has been ruled out of the World Cup due to shoulder injury. In addition to that, Lungi Ngidi has also sustained hamstring injury.

The team is also annoyed by the news of AB De Villiers’ coming out of retirement.

However, the Proteas have themselves to blame for the three consecutive losses as the batsmen have thrown away their wicket cheaply, and the team selection has also not been wise.

On the other hand, West Indies after thrashing Pakistan by seven wickets, they were unlucky to lose against the Aussies. Although, the loss was can credited to the poor shot selection and soft dismals of the batsmen, and somewhat due to the poor umpiring. The West Indies will be eager to get back on track after losing against the Australians and they have everything in their team to crush the rivals.
