IPL 2018: Chaos outside Chepauk
Reaching the stadium was an arduous task as all arterial roads were blocked.
It was pandemonium outside the M.A Chidambaram Stadium which on Tuesday welcomed Chennai Super Kings back into the IPL after two years. Protesters gathered outside the venue demanding the cancellation of CSK’s first home match of the season, against KKR, over the Cauvery issue made life hell for fans with tickets. Reaching the stadium was an arduous task as all arterial roads were blocked.
The protesters taunted and heckled CSK fans who were on their way to the stadium. Some fans were asked to remove their jerseys. A posse of policemen had a hard time to ensure that the public and the players made their way safely to the famous stadium.
