Hyderabad: Author and entrepreneur Ankur Warikoo has recently posted some 'insensitive' comment and body shamed cricketer Prithvi Shaw in a social media post.
The author has drawn flak and was criticised by netizens for his comment. Later, Ankur in another post said that he has realised his mistake and apologised.
A user on X (earlier twitter) has posted Prithvi Shaw's photo and wrote "Indian diet and genetics are unparalleled. This is a 23 year old Indian athlete 23!" Replying to the post, Ankur said, "Bet his mom thinks 'patla ho gaya hai' :))."
A few persons on social media also pointed out that the 23-year-old Indian cricketer lost his mother when he was just a kid.
The author while apologising said that he was not aware of Prithvi (beyond his name) and he does not follow cricket actively. He also said that he will not delete the post, so that it continues to act as a reminder to him.

For clarification - I do not follow cricket actively, so I was not aware of Prithvi (beyond his name). Would have acted differently was I aware of him and his history.
