Chennai: Team India head coach Ravi Shastri is a very serious man when it comes to his work. Shastri might share a good rapport with the players and the support staff, but he rarely discloses his funnier self, on and off camera.

As the Men in Blue secured a comforting victory over Australia in the 1st ODI at Chennai, India’s shoddy batting display had left many disappointed at one point, including Shastri.

Virat Kohli's men were reeling at 87-5 during the 21st over, before Hardik Pandya and former India skipper MS Dhoni turned the match on his head, striking a 118-run partnership for the 6th wicket to take India to a respectable 281-7.

With wickets tumbling in quick succession during the first innings, a grumpy Shastri was caught on camera in the dressing room giving a serious stare.

While there were many other drama-filled moments during the match that made the news, Twitterati made a laughing stock of Shastri, flooding the internet with hilarious memes.

Team India will aim to extend their lead to 2-0 when they take on the Aussies in the second ODI, commencing on Thursday.
