As fans got a glimpse of Yuvraj Singh, they couldn’t contain their excitement and soon chants of ‘Yuvi... Yuvi’ filled a mall in the city on Friday, where the international cricketer attended a promotional event.
Yuvraj spoke at lengths about how Hyderabad has been lucky for him throughout his cricket career, his love for Hyderabadi biryani and teased V.V.S. Laxman’s Hindi asking people to listen to his Hindi commentary.
After Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja, fans expected Yuvi to be next in line to get married. But looks like the 34-year-old actor, who recently got engaged to actress Hazel Keech, is in no hurry. “No plans yet, we haven’t really decided,” he says.
The cricketer has also been approached for a documentary on his life by a Hollywood production house. Confirming the news, he says, “We are currently in talks, but nothing has been finalised yet.”
Talking about being an entrepreneur, Yuvraj says, “The idea for the start-ups came to me a couple of years ago. Through YouWeCan Ventures we were able to create 600 jobs in two years. A couple of our start-ups have gone to second round of funding, so it’s picking up really well.” After sustaining an injury during the T20 World Cup, Yuvraj will be back on the field on May 6.
