Hyderabad: Mir Hyder Ali Khan, former chairman of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh passed away in the city late on Wednesday night. He was 57 and is survived by his wife and two sons.
His last rites were held in Hyderabad on Thursday. In a condolence meet organised at the Olympic Bhavan on the Lal Bahadur Stadium premises on Thursday, the Telangana Olympic Association acknowledged the key role played by Hyder Ali Khan during the National Games (2002) and the Afro-Asian Games (2003) held in Hyderabad.
TOA secretary K. Jagadishwer Yadav and other officials who attend the meet, expressed their condolences to the bereaved family.
