IPL 2018 auction: Delhi Daredevils buy India U-19 skipper Prithvi Shaw for 1.2 crore
Bengaluru: India U-19 skipper Prithvi Shaw will be wearing the Delhi Daredevils jersey in the eleventh edition of Indian Premier League 2018. The Under-19 skipper was snapped for 1.2 crore by the Delhi outfit.
Prithvi, who is currently playing the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, is considered a hot prospect with franchisees looking to sign the young prodigy.

Shaw who had set his base price at only Rs 20 lakh, saw Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians battling for his signature, but ultimately it was Daredevils, who secured his signature .
This will be Shaw’s maiden appearance in the cash-rich league. The youngster from Mumbai has been compared to cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and will be closely watched by fans, and selectors. If he does performs well, there is high possibility he could be fast tracked for India’s international side.
