PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf Insinuates That India is \"Dushman Mulk\"
Hyderabad: A day after Pak Cricket Squad landed in Hyderabad to participate in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 match and was accorded a warm and grand welcome by the fans, PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf made an indirect reference to India as "Dushman Mulk" while interacting with media persons to announce the unprecedented hike in the match fees and remuneration to the players so that their morale is high while they are playing in "Enemy Country or wherever this tournament is being played in a not so veiled reference to India which is hosting the ICC World Cup 2023."
In a video shared by a handle which goes by the name "Pakistan Untold" on X (formerly Twitter) has gone viral. In the video PCB Chief can be seen making the remark that "Players hain inka morale upar rehna chahiye jab ye kisi dushman mulk ya kisi bhi jagah khelne jaayen jahan wo competition ho raha ho, to they should go with the full support of the nation aur unko ek achche tarike se perform kar saken." This translates to "You should keep in mind that when the players go to an enemy country or where the competition is being held, you should support them so that they can perform well.”
Majority of the platform users have expressed outrage against these unfortunate comments with a large number of users exhorting BCCI and Indian players to show some spine and refuse to play with Pakistan across all types and formats of cricket tournaments and have also urged fellow users to not buy the tickets and watch the matches in which Pakistan team is playing.
