As the Indian Premier League reaches its mid-season, many teams have recorded their viewership and popularity trends. Despite MS Dhoni’s absence throughout the season, Chennai Super Kings remain the most-watched IPL team in the 2026 season, with 308 million average viewers per match across television and JioHotstar combined.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) follows closely with 303 million average viewers per match, ranking second on the list, while Mumbai Indians are in third place with 293 million viewers.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are in fourth place with 290 million average viewers per match, while Kolkata Knight Riders round off the list in fifth position with 280 million.
In terms of Hotstar-only viewership, RCB takes the lead with 307.20 million average viewers per match, overtaking CSK. Mumbai Indians are in second place with 274.20 million viewers, while CSK drops to third with 270.30 million average viewers per match. Rajasthan Royals are fourth with 259.90 million, and SRH ranks fifth with around 245.73 million average viewers per match.
