Fantasy Premier League: 5 bargain players you must have for Gameweek 4
Mumbai: With the Premier League returning after the international break, time is running out for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers to select their playing XI for Gameweek 4. With three big matches set to feature this Saturday - Manchester City vs Liverpool, Tottenham vs Everton and Leicester City vs Chelsea, managers will have to be cautious while making team selections.
We look at the top five bargain picks for Gameweek 4 -
Goalkeeper:
Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion) -£4.5m
With an affordable price of £4.5m, the fixtures for Ben Foster looks promising, with only one difficulty rating of four (vs Arsenal) for the next six gameweeks.
It should also be noted that the 34-year-old had maintained clean sheets in his first two games, but that was denied in the third gameweek by Peter Crouch of Stoke City. However, with 15 points so far, he could be a worthy option for FPL managers.
Honorable mentions:
Lukasz Fabianski (Swansea City) - £4.5m, David de Gea (Manchester United) - £5.5m, Joe Hart (West Ham United) - £4.5m.
Defenders:
Eric Bailly (Manchester United)- £6.1m
Selected by 15.1 percent of managers, Eric Bailly has been an integral part of Manchester United’s set up this season. Having scored his first goal for United against Swansea in the second Gameweek, he was awarded three bonus points that saw him walking away with 15 points that week.
His fixtures, too, look quite easy until the Reds meet rivals Liverpool in October.
Honourable mentions:
Ben Davies (Tottenham Hotspur)- £5.6m, Allan Nyom (West Brom) - £5.0m, Chancel Mbemba (Newcastle) - £4.0m.
Midfielder:
Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Manchester United)- £8.3m
Mkhitaryan has not scored a goal so far in the Premier League, but five assists in the first three matches have earned him 26 points so far. Being a part of 21.7 percent of FPL managers, the Armenian international is an influential option for Managers who are desperate to get more points on board.
Honourable mentions:
Renato Sanches (Swansea) - £5.0m, Richarlison (Watford) - £6.0m, Davvy Propper (Brighton) - £5.5m.
Forwards:
Roberto Firmino:
Tough fixtures lie ahead for Roberto Firmino, with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur coming up in a month’s time, but the Brazillian already looks in good touch, after having scored and assisted twice in the last three fixtures.
Already a part of 28.9 percent FPL managers, more managers are likely to pick him up, so do it before his price tag increases.
Honourable mentions:
Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)- £7.5m, Sam Vokes (Burnley)- £6.0m, Chicharito (West Ham United)- £7.1m.
Oh Captain, my Captain:
Paul Pogba: With his goal-scoring abilities and influence in the final third, Paul Pogba could be the best choice for the captain.
Having already scored 26 points from the first three Gameweeks, Pogba has also played for full 90 minutes that displays his importance for the Red Devils.
Honorable mentions:
Marcos Alonso (Chelsea ) £7.1m, Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)- £9.0m, Christian Eriksen (Spurs) - £9.6m.
