Kerala Blasters announce signing of ex-Manchester United defender Wes Brown
Mumbai: The upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL) will witness more big names making their presence felt on the Indian shore. After ATK signed Robbie Keane, it was time for Kerala Blasters to announce their major signing on Tuesday. Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has signed up for Kerala for this year’ Indian Super League campaign.

Brown has won the Premier League during the Sir Alex Ferguson era and is set to reunite with Rene Mulensteen, former member of United coaching staff who is now the manager for Kerala Blasters. The club is also in talks with former United striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Wes Brown has earlier worked with Mulensteen , while he was at Manchester United where he spent 14 seasons . During his time with United, he won five Premier League titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies. After his departure from Manchester United in 2011 he played six seasons for Sunderland and then last year, he played for Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
Signing of Wes Brown have added glamour to the ISL and if Blasters manage to sign in Berbatov as well they will automatically be considered as one of the favourites to lift the ISL trophy.
