David Haye insists he is in best shape of life

Haye and Bellew will do battle at the O2 Arena on May 5, just over a year on from their previous encounter.

David Haye has claimed that he is in the ‘shape of his life’ as he prepares for his eagerly anticipated rematch with Tony Bellew, reports the Daily Mail. Haye and Bellew will do battle at the O2 Arena on May 5, just over a year on from their previous encounter.

In March 2017 Bellew stopped Haye when the latter’s corner threw in the towel and the London fighter will be especially determined to prevail on this occasion.
Haye certainly appears in good shape going into the bout and, speaking in an Instagram video, made a bold claim regarding his fitness.

He said: “I’ve just finished a hardcore session, April 29th, just six days before facing Tony Bellew. I’m in the shape of my life. One more session after this, taper down.”

The 37-year-old has been undergoing his final preparations for the fight and is very confident that he will come out on top.
