34th Youth National Basketball Championship: Telangana teams out of tournament
Hyderabad: It was a disappointing outing for both the boys and the girls basketball teams from Telangana as they lost their matches to crash out of the 34th Youth National Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls being played at the Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli in Hyderabad on Monday.
In the Level 2, Group ‘F’ match, the Telangana boys who were in a must-win encounter against neighbour Andhra Pradesh, lost by a heavy margin of 47-94.
Andhra Pradesh topped Group ‘F’ and will face West Bengal (Group ‘C’ topper) for a spot in the pre-quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Delhi girls dashed the hopes of Telangana after beating them 71-52. The hosts were knocked out of the competition after finishing second in Group ‘E’.
