Hyderabad: Rajiv Inuganti and Ajay Bhusan dished out composed games on the pool table to blank their respective opponents and finish on the winning side in Round Three of the ongoing Telangana Open Snooker Championship in the city.
Rajiv defeated Shaik Shukoor with a dominating 77-20, 61-14, 56-6 scoreline.
Rajiv took charge from first frame and won it easily at 77-20. Later, he was in no mood to compromise his top level game and completely cornered Shaik 61-14, 56-6 to pocket the next two frames and the match.
Meanwhile, Ajay Bhusan dominated the table against Abhiraj 3-0. Ajay’s cue handling skills and temperament proved too much for Abhiraj who surrendered the match 25-81, 35-61, 20-70.
P. Hemanth Kumar was the other player to sript a dominating 3-0 victory. He defeated Baquer Hussain 65-13, 66-22, 67-33.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna had to toil hard to clinch a victory against Sharath. Both the players gave tough fight to each other, however, it was Balakrishna who had the last laugh as he won with a 59-38, 44-55, 70-38, 24-39, 59-56) scoreline.
In the match between Syed Parvez Shareef and Dhruv Singh, the former emerged winner with a dominating 3-0 score. The frame scores read 62-21, 57-55, 74-61 in Dhruv’s favour.
In the other match, Md Ghouse dished out a come-from-behind victory over Varun Victor. After losing the first frame 36-61, Ghouse channelised all his skills and came back hard at his opponent to clinch the match. The scores in the next three frames read 59-40, 73-33, 74-18.
