Hyderabad Sailing Week: Koteshwar secures silvers as sailing week ends
Hyderabad: Telangana’s Koteshwara Rao secured two silver medals in Laser 4.7 Open and in Youth U-19 categories while Shubham Patel and Ajay Shaikh secured a gold in 470 open category in Hyderabad Sailing Week which concluded on Saturday here at Hussainsagar lake.
Shubham and Ajay won the gold with a huge winning margin as they secured 9 points leaving behind the silver and broze medal winners with the score of 21 and 24 points.
Trishna Sailing Club sailor Koteshwara Rao got two silvers in 4.7 open and Youth Under 19 categories while Nagarjuna came up with a decent performance to claim bronze medals.
Jerome Kumar took top honours in the RS:X Open category as he made good use of the wind shift while K. Arjun Reddy settled for silver. Jerome and Arjun were close enough tallying 15 and 18 points respectively leaving behind Kore M.N. with 38 points.
