THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ringwood's Lady Hawks from Australia beat Kerala all Stars women's basket ball team 84-69 at the Jimmy George Indoor Stadium here on Saturday. This was the fourth match in the five-match Hoopathon Series between Lady Hawks and the current national champions Kerala. The final match in the series will be held at VKK Menon Indoor Stadium, Kozhikode. Kerala managed to win only one match so far.
The friendly series is organised by Team Rebound and the Kerala Basketball Association. The Australian team's 10-day tour in India will end on November 12.
The Australian team, which contributed sports goodies to various schools, had also inaugurated the new indoor basketball court near Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium. Former Indian player Geethu Anna Jose had played for the Victoria-based Lady Hawk's earlier.
